The Storytelling with Data Fellowship empowers feminist advocates, journalists, and gender equality influencers to transform gender data into powerful stories that fuel activism, influence policy, and strengthen advocacy efforts.
Over six months, fellows will be trained and mentored in data storytelling techniques and will produce creative outputs (blogs, videos, podcasts, infographics, etc.) that amplify findings from the 2024 SDG Gender Index.
Onboarding (April 1, 2025): Explore the 2024 SDG Gender Index, trends, and local data stories.
Mentorship & Training (April – May): Hands-on workshops + one-on-one mentoring on narrative building, data visualization, and audience targeting.
Storytelling Production (June – August): Fellows create blogs, videos, podcasts, infographics, and other outputs.
Dissemination & Amplification (September): Final outputs will be showcased across EM2030 platforms and campaigns.
Time commitment: 120–180 hours over 6 months (~5–8 hrs/week; heavier during production phase).
$500 per fellow (paid in 2 instalments: 50% at onboarding, 50% after final outputs).
Intended to cover tools, software, and production costs.
Each fellow must produce two storytelling pieces in any format (blogs, podcasts, videos, infographics, etc.).
Collaborative opportunities across regions (LAC, Asia, Africa) to highlight how gender challenges intersect globally.

Selection: 6 fellows (2 from each region).

Build a lasting network of feminist storytellers.
