The Visegrad Fellowship Program supports individual short-term stays (2–10 weeks) for scholars, lecturers, and researchers from Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Ukraine in V4 countries other than their country of citizenship and residence.
The fellowship provides opportunities for academic exchange, research, and teaching in the V4 region by enabling fellows to:
Conduct or participate in research projects.
Deliver lectures or seminars at higher-education institutions.
Study or review archival/library materials of academic importance.
Open to citizens of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Ukraine.
Applicants must be full-time doctoral students or holders of a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent).
Only one application per deadline is allowed; multiple submissions will be disqualified.
The host institution country must differ from the fellow’s citizenship and current residence.
The fellowship is conducted in person (remote option only in justified exceptional cases).
Duration: 2 to 10 weeks, with detailed justification required for the proposed length.
Financial Support: €500 per week, paid in two installments (80% upfront, 20% upon completion).
