The Business Control (BC) Intern will support SNV’s Global Finance and Business Control teams while gaining hands-on experience in finance within an international development organization.
Gain practical experience in BC processes and project portfolio oversight
Learn evidence-based financial analysis, planning, reporting, and control
Develop skills in financial insight generation for decision-making
Receive mentorship from experienced professionals
Contribute to impactful work in the development sector
Tasks will align with your learning objectives, but may include:
Supporting creation of work instructions and video trainings for BC processes
Analyzing project performance
Organizing documents, reports, instructions for improved accessibility
Assisting with project setup in SNV systems and suggesting improvements
Essential:
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at an accredited EU university, with focus on Finance
Legal right to reside in the Netherlands for the internship duration (visa sponsorship not provided)
Strong written and spoken English; French is a plus
Motivated, proactive, and solution-driven
Analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Self-motivated, curious, and team-oriented
On-site attendance: 1–2 days per week in The Hague recommended
