Organizational Setting
The Director General's Office (DGO) provides leadership and coordination for all IAEA activities at the executive level, ensuring Member States’ needs are met, promoting a one-house approach, and supporting results-based management.
Reporting to the Chief of Ethics, the consultant will provide technical expertise in various activities related to the Ethics function, supporting the delivery of ethical governance across the organization.
Under the supervision of the Chief of Ethics, the consultant will:
Manage case intake: Maintain case ethics records and matters log, create and maintain electronic case files, and follow up with Ethics staff as needed.
Reporting & Analysis: Design and generate reports, statistical tables, and graphic content to facilitate inspections and reviews. Collaborate to enhance the current case management system.
Technical Support: Advise Ethics staff on the annual Declaration of Interest process, clearance of annual reports, and coordination with editors and translation services.
Standards & Research: Provide technical input on the Standards of Conduct for the International Civil Service, including case law research and policy analysis.
UN System Research: Investigate policies and practices across the UN system to identify trends and best practices relevant to Ethics.
Digital & Awareness Initiatives: Contribute to Ethics intranet management, develop digital outreach materials, maintain the Ethics Chatbot, and design innovative awareness-raising and training initiatives.
Data Management: Support data compilation and reporting for Ethics function deliverables.

University degree (Bachelor’s) in Ethics, Law, Compliance, International Relations, Employee Relations, or a related field with strong academic record
Minimum one year of relevant experience in ethics, law, oversight, or human resources
Experience in an international organization is an advantage
Strong teamwork, analytical, and drafting skills
Excellent command of English; knowledge of other IAEA official languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an asset
Daily fee: Up to 150 (based on qualifications and experience)
Travel-related benefits: Daily subsistence allowance (DSA) and travel costs covered if duty travel is required
Health and pension: Responsibility of the incumbent
