Welcome To EarthTab Business School. My Name Is Harry Brown And I Will Be Your Course Preceptor For The Course, Sculpture And 3D Art Forms. “Sculpture and 3D Art Forms” is an interdisciplin ary course designed to immerse you in the conceptual, historical, technical, and experimental aspects of three-dimensional visual expression. This course goes beyond basic modeling or clay shaping; it is a comprehensive journey through the evolution of sculptural practices, exploring everything from ancient monolithic carvings to AI-assisted 3D design, public installations, and digital fabrication. It bridges traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation, grounding you in both classical techniques and contemporary technologies. This course is ideal for you who wish to develop a professional understanding of form, space, texture, materiality, structure, and visual language in the third dimension, and who seek to translate that understanding into both studio practice and public discourse. By the end of the course, you will be able to: Understand the historical evolution of sculpture from prehistoric art to postmodern installation. Identify and apply different sculptural techniques: carving, modeling, casting, welding, assembling, and digital fabrication. Utilize a broad range of materials and tools including clay, stone, metal, wood, resin, and software-based 3D tools. Analyze and critique sculptural works using principles of form, volume, scale, space, rhythm, and balance. Create original 3D artworks integrating classical, cultural, and experimental approaches. Exhibit, document, and defend sculptural pieces in academic or professional presentations. Understand the socio-political, philosophical, and spiritual context of three-dimensional art in various cultures and civilizations. Incorporate sustainability, digital media, and conceptual frameworks in their 3D art practice. Project-Based Learning (PBL): Each module culminates in a project exploring a core sculptural idea. Studio Demonstrations: Hands-on sessions for tool handling and technique mastery. Virtual Demos: Video-based walkthroughs for digital sculpture and software tools.
