In today’s fast-paced and uncertain business environment, organizations must be proactive rather than reactive. Strategic foresight is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity. "Scenario Planning and Forecasting Models" is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary, and deeply analytical course designed to equip professionals, analysts, policy makers, entrepreneurs, and strategic thinkers with the advanced knowledge, practical tools, and cognitive frameworks necessary to anticipate and navigate complex futures.

This course offers a robust foundation in scenario planning techniques, advanced forecasting methodologies, risk simulation strategies, and long-range planning models, focusing on the dynamic interplay between uncertainties, trends, and decisions. It combines theoretical constructs with cutting-edge applications in industries such as business strategy, economics, public policy, technology innovation, supply chain management, and sustainability.

   You will engage in detailed explorations of quantitative forecasting models such as time-series analysis, econometrics, AI-based predictive analytics, and Monte Carlo simulations, as well as qualitative methods like Delphi studies, cross-impact analysis, and strategic assumption surfacing. Special emphasis is placed on scenario crafting, identifying critical uncertainties, driving forces, and wild cards, and embedding scenario outcomes into organizational planning systems.

By the end of this course,you  will not only be able to develop and evaluate plausible futures but also link these scenarios to strategic decisions through sensitivity analysis, stress-testing, and backcasting techniques. The course culminates in a capstone project where students design customized scenario-planning matrices and apply forecasting tools to real-world problems.
